In June of 2004, OnTheTrail.org began. The idea was to centralize the information that I was gathering about some up coming Pacific Crest Trail section hikes that I was planning. It has grown over the years to focus on a number of outdoor activities: hiking, backpacking, climbing, and mountaineering in the Western US. The areas of focus, but not limited to, are the PCT and JMT long trails, the high mountains, and other hiking beta for Southern and Central California. We plan to have all the information that you will need to find, plan, and enjoy new and exciting outdoor experiences! We provide free topo maps for all our hikes.
